SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH
The Bedford County School Board announced Thursday, February 8, 2024, the timeline for hiring a new superintendent to join them in providing equal opportunities for all students to think critically, collaborate, create, communicate, and become productive citizens. Surveys and Town Hall meetings will be available for all stakeholders to share their vision with the School Board starting on Monday, February 26. The School Board will incorporate the ideas shared by our students, parents, teachers, staff, and community to define the leadership characteristics and qualifications of the next superintendent of Bedford County Public Schools.
Marcus Hill, School Board Chairman, stressed the significance of selecting the next superintendent, saying "this is one of the most important actions that the School Board has responsibility for. The Superintendent sets the stage for the success of our school system. We are looking for someone special to lead one of the best school divisions in Virginia. We look forward to this process and the search for our next Superintendent of Bedford County Public Schools."

As the first steps in the search process, we need your thoughtful and candid input to ensure that the voice of the community is part of our search to find the best superintendent for BCPS.
Please take five (5) minutes to complete this survey to share your input in the superintendent search process. After interviewing finalists this spring, we anticipate finalizing the selection of the new superintendent by late May to early June 2024.
