Accreditation and Accountability
Virginia public schools receive annual state accreditation ratings, and there is federal accountability reporting, based on the performance of students on state assessments in English, mathematics, and science as well as other measures of quality and performance. The Virginia Department of Education website provides information on state and school-level summary reports on performance level ratings and assigned school accreditation status are provided for the current and previous school years. Virginia School Quality Profiles
Virginia’s School Quality Profiles provide information about student achievement, college and career readiness, program completion, school safety, teacher quality and other topics of interest to parents and the general public.
