The 2007 General Assembly passed legislation that requires sixth grade girls to receive the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine series. The law also requires the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) to provide parents/guardians of rising sixth graders with information about the vaccine. Three or more school board members may attend the Bedford County Board of Supervisors meeting being held on April 22, 2019, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Liberty Middle School, which is located at 1237 Lacey Putney Way, Bedford, VA.

The Bedford County School Board will have a regular meeting May 9, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. in the School Board Office conference room located at 311 S. Bridge Street, Bedford, VA.
