Preschool and Kindergarten Information

Bedford County offers a variety of preschool opportunities.   These programs receive funds from the local, state and federal level.  Programs are contingent upon funding & program locations are subject to change.  Eligibility to participate is based on state and federal guidelines.  Enrollment begins with children who are most eligible based on the application process.  Guardians may not request which program the child attends.  Bedford County has a joint application process and acceptance will only be given to one program.

Bedford County is now offering the option to participate in preschool remotely.  You must still complete the full application process, qualify, and be accepted into one of the preschool programs as if your child would be attending in person.  If you are interested in this option and have already completed the THREE-STEP application process, please click here and fill out the Remote Preschool Form.  If you have not completed the full application process, please click the Preschool Application Intake Link Below and complete each step prior to completing the Remote Preschool Form.
